Nnewi Commerce: Bishop Ndubuisi Obi Dedicates New Roban Stores Branch

URAGU-NNEWI — The Anglican Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Ndubuisi Obi, has extolled the vision behind the newly established Roban Stores branch in Uruagu-Nnewi, Anambra State, describing the facility as a monument to divine favor and local enterprise.

Speaking at the official grand opening, Bishop Obi who was accompanied by a delegation of Anglican clergy from both the Nnewi and Enugu Dioceses stated that their primary mission was to dedicate the facility and invoke God’s blessings over the multimillion-naira investment.

“We gathered here today not just to officially open another Roban Shopping Mall at Uruagu, but to consecrate this ground for extraordinary success,” Bishop Obi declared. “We are here to pray for high patronage, rapid sales, and the expansion of this vision into even more branches.”

Praising the founder and CEO of Roban Stores, Sir Robert Anwatu, the prelate commended his relentless drive toward economic development and job creation across Nigeria.

“We are overwhelmed with joy for what God is using Sir Roban Anwatu to do for teeming Nigerian youths,” Bishop Obi noted. “The wisdom and resources behind the continuous expansion of Roban Stores demand special accolades. This facility opens up vital employment opportunities, setting a pace as a shining example of Igbo business ingenuity.”

He concluded the dedication with prayers for seamless operations, safety, and long-term prosperity, predicting that shoppers from across Nnewi and surrounding communities would flock to the mall for its high-quality, competitively priced goods.

Responding to the dedication, Sir Robert Anwatu expressed deep gratitude to the clergy, attributing the success of the business empire entirely to divine providence.

“Bishop Obi is entirely correct without God, this project would not have been possible,” Anwatu stated. “The growth and strength of Roban Stores come directly from God. He provides the resources, the management wisdom, and the strategy to see every project through.”

Anwatu, an indigene of Otolo-Nnewi, revealed plans to establish a third branch in Umudim to serve residents in neighboring towns such as Ozubulu and Ihembesi, as well as nearby communities including Ichi, Ojoto, Oba, Oraifite, Umuoji, and Alor.

Addressing security and operations, Anwatu noted that while the business relies primarily on divine protection, comprehensive security measures including armed uniformed personnel have been deployed to monitor movement around the premises.

He also acknowledged the pivotal role played by the traditional ruler of Uruagu, Obi Charles Afam Obi, in securing the land and facilitating a peaceful setup.

Concluding his remarks, Anwatu urged the newly recruited staff to approach their roles with dedication, discipline, and gratitude as full operations commence.
