Honoring Industrial Giants and Outlining a Bold Vision for Anambra South
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Anambra South Senatorial Candidate, Prince Sam-Ben Nwosu has joined the millions of Nigerians to eulogize two prominent Igbo industrial giants whose birthday celebrations coincide with that of Nigeria independence anniversary.
They are Chief Dr Ambrose Bryant Chukwueloka Orjiakor (Onwa Nigeria) and Chief Dr Innocent Chukwuma (Ifediaso Nnewi). Describing their celebrations as milestone, Prince Nwosu defined Onwa as a man whose life has been a testament to excellence, enterprise, and uncommon philanthropy. He also expressed delight on Ifediaso Nnewi not just celebrating his birthday but doing so with great happiness.
“Ifediaso is a man who gave our people economic freedom through industry, a man with humble beginning, resilience, bold and courageous who refused to accept limitations while climbing to the top.”
The PDP Senatorial flag-bearer recalled the positive impact of these two great achievers in Igboland and Nigeria in general.

Chief Orjiakor, as Pioneer Chairman of Seplat Energy Plc, led the company to become Nigeria’s foremost indigenous oil and gas firm, the largest indigenous domestic supplier of gas, and a company that today powers a significant portion of the nation’s electricity grid.
Chief Dr Chukwuma on the other hand is not just a businessman but nation builder. From apprenticeship in Nnewi to trading in motorcycle spare parts, to assembling motorcycles, to founding the first indigenous vehicle manufacturing company (IVM) in Nigeria, proving that a Nigerian can build what Nigerians can drive.
Earlier in his county home, Ndiakwu Otolo Nnewi, Prince Sam-Ben Nwosu unveiled his political agenda that propelled him to seek for Senatorial Position, Anambra South come early next year election. In a well attended media chat involving virtually all journalists in Anambra State, Prince Nwosu said that his ultimate ambition is to give people in Anambra South, not a political theory but effective and verifiable results.

“I am going to the Senate for serious business of representation and to ensure that our people benefit from the dividends of democracy. It is not an assignment of having sirens under the tinted glass vehicles, it is for serious and well focused mind.”
He said that as a grassroots politician with age-long experience of what people need, he is ready to attract significant results if voted into power. He enumerated key priorities that formed his manifesto namely the Youth Development Scheme, Education, Erosion Control, Sustainable economic empowerment, better business environment, friendly taxation and so on.
“I’m ready to sponsor bills and motions on matters with direct impact on people. Every local government in Anambra South ought to have ‘signature project,’ to justify my presence in the Senate.”
Prince Nwosu, the former Federal Commissioner at the Public Complaints Commission Abuja, explained that he has built enough political goodwill, and structure towards offering people effective representation: He believes in providing long economic benefits aimed at liberating the poor and indigent in Anambra South Constituency. He said that already the established good relationship between him and the people at the grassroots would give him the opportunity to ensure that the dividends of democracy are evenly distributed throughout the zone.
He is of the opinion that electorate in Anambra South are capable of protecting their votes but equally warned against vote buying and electoral manipulation. He maintained that the zone which produced political leaders like Dr Alex Ekwueme, Akweke Nwafor-Orizu, MCK Ajuluchukwu, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Sen. Onyebo Obi and so on, cannot afford to fail the people come 2027 political dispensation.
“We deserve better representation that reflects our political history in Nigeria. And I stand to carry the banner,” he added.
